I've since shed my skin once more and more
Each time the new skin is much thicker than before
My hair dark and thick now
The bright locks of before have shrivelled into retention
That split of a moment where ignorance drove euphoria

Nothing has changed, nothing alike, things will never again be the same
Worth seems to lessen as every year goes by
A smile never used to cost nearly as much

They prance around me in the footsteps
I once followed and later set to fade
One gazes at me in a familiar way

All but the remainder of memories in my head
